Our little Miss Sadie Ladybug has made it. She has graduated from elementary school. Her seven years have come to an end. It was fun though. My how she has grown.
With the last day of school comes Field Day. A fun day indeed filled with treats, games and time with friends.
Mrs. Farfsing was your kindergarten teacher. You loved kindergarten. You were ready. You had an excellent year.
First grade found you in Mrs. Hahl's class with three of your best friends: Kate, Wendy & Maddie. You learned to read.
Mrs. Banta was your second grade teacher. Spectra Art was so much fun. We created some amazing art projects. You finally got your sister (x2)!
For Halloween you dressed as Junie B. Jones - Lunch lady!
In fourth grade you had Mrs. Pollack. Fourth grade was fun and you learned to write well.
With fifth grade came your first combo class. Mrs. Hill would be your teacher your final two years. Your mentor was Taelor. You really admired Taelor and missed her when she moved on to seventh grade.
In sixth grade you really grew physically, you are 5'3, emotionally, and academically. You discovered the importance of boys, hair, and clothes. You cheered and enjoyed it so much you've decided to give it another whirl.
You turned 12 and started attending Young Women. You continue to play the piano quite beautifully. You still love art and are often found sprawled out on the floor with papers and pens creating your latest masterpiece.
Your friends have become VERY important. You use the phone to connect and chat. You can't wait to get your very own cell phone. Actually, you think it's an injustice that you don't have one already!
You try new hair styles.
You graduated and seem quite grown up. You are at the water park today with all of your friends (no adults pleeeze)! We are so proud of you. We love you. We know you are ready for the big adventures which await you in 7th grade and beyond.
love,
those two people who sometimes embarrass you right now,
(how we aren't quite sure)
but will love you forever no matter whatcha look like, say, or do.

Sadie does indeed write very well! I am impressed.
I sometimes wish our elementary still went to 6th - our middle school is 6 through 8th grade.
Congrats to you!! Junior high will be great - keep up the good work.
And Mom, pat yourself on the back too!!
Congrats to Sadie! I never thought about what year my kids were in school on 9/11. I remember that Mitchell was a toddler and Keith and Delinda were here visiting.
It is fun to watch Sadie grow up and see her pictures in order like that. It is also weird to think she is just know graduating from Elementary School. GA does it so different. We finish in 5th grade. My girls were young 5th grader's so it seems like ages ago that they finished. Our school's tradition is to have a 5th Grade Soc Hop and a 5th Grade walk through the school while they play "celebration" over the speaker. The kids all walk the hallways for the last time and walk out a set of doors with the parents there to greet them. (I am tearing up as I think if it)
Now Lindsey is going into 8th grade and will be the oldest group at our middle school.....and well...Sarah...I don't even want to think about the fact that she will be a junior! She will be 16 in a few weeks..and is now already being asked out on dates. We are having to hold back the flood gate until August.
Tell Sadie congrats from us! She is beautiful! (but so are all of your kids.)
So sad to see her growing up so fast!
I love the poison Ivy costume! So cool!

The time does fly.
