First Recital

Connor had his first piano recital the last week of school. He played very well.
He was so stink'in cute standing there telling everyone his name and what he would be playing.

Side note: His teacher is Mondi Taylor, wife to Mark Taylor, who grew up in Upland and knew us as kids. He even remembers going to the Grapewin house after we moved from Upland. Kinda cool. Mom says she knew Mark's mother. She told me the Taylors were wonderful people. We think these Taylors are wonderful people too.

During this very same week Sadie and Cohen were critiqued by a teacher from the National Piano Teachers Guild. Sadie played 4 pieces from memory with scales and cadences. Cohen played 10 and received a state award. He also performed his composition.
