Remembering 3rd Grade

When I was in 3rd grade my teacher's name was Mrs. Bettencourt. I thought she was so young and pretty. She was nice too. Part way through the year we were given the assignment of writing a book. With much thought and excitement I decided on a story and began to write. I never finished my book. To this day it sets unfinished in a Holly Hobbie covered apple box with many other mementos from grade school and beyond. Over the years I've asked myself, "Why didn't I finish that book?" Today I'm starting another book, a book of my life as a wife, mom, sister, and friend. I doubt I'll ever finish this book, but atleast I'm starting. Starting is what counts. Right? Right.
