Conversations with Connor

Let me preface this with Connor is not an adventurist when it comes to his food.

We had stir fry for dinner last night. He was particularly excited about the rice
(he loves rice).

  • Connor: "Hey mom, don't put any of that stuff (the stir fry) on my rice. O.K.? Just put it right here next to my rice. Don't let it touch. O.K.?"
  • Me: "Alright."
  • ~light dinner conversation ensues (ha ha ha ha)~
  • Phil: "Connor, stop talking and start eating and not just the rice. You need to try your stir fry."

  • Connor: pushes stir fry with fork around plate

  • Me: "Connor, please pick up your fork and take a bite of your stir fry."

  • ~minutes pass, all whilst Connor secretly hopes we will forget all about the stir fry on his plate to which he has only continued to stir~

  • Connor: holding up a mushroom with a look of quandry asks, "Mom, is this a poisionous mushroom?"

  • Me: "What do you think?"

  • Connor: "Poisionous! Guess I don't have to eat it!"

He may not be the best eater, but he sure is turning into quite the little ball player!

We love you C-Dub!

Good pitching!
And great action shots to show it!

Phoebe used to be that way about sweet and sour chicken.

And I'm a very picky eater - especially by Terrill standards - so I empathize.

He's pitching too! Now you have 2 kids arms to protect :)
It is cool to see your fields. Ours have full dirt on the infield and a raised mound. Apparently the dirt verses the grass make a big difference in the "bounce" on infield hits. (We had to practice on grass this summer for a "grass infield tournament")
Mitchell is still catching. (I gotta worry about the knees)
Our play-offs are in full swing. We have lost one, one more and it is over.....which do I pray for? Winning or no more practices?
